About

Vrinda J · Hyderabad

Lawyer by practice. Writer by inclination.

I live between two registers — the precise language of corporate law and the quieter language of paying attention. I have chosen to keep them separate, even here.

The lawyer

Practice, briefly.

I am an independent advocate based in Hyderabad. I advise founders and family-held businesses on company law, contracts and the commercial decisions that tend to compound.

Earlier in my practice I worked across litigation and in-house roles before moving to independent advisory — the work that lets me stay close to clients and short on words.

The writer

The other practice.

Outside law, I write short pieces — observations on attention, mind and ordinary days. The writing is reflective, never instructional; it does not borrow from any tradition or claim a method.

The pieces are organised by theme rather than date, so a reader can pick up any series and start anywhere.

Why two sites in one

A note on the split.

The two practices share a person but not a vocabulary. Holding them on the same page would force one to apologise for the other. The split entry is a small act of respect for both — and for whoever is reading.
